About wamid
wamid is an Android memory app built in 2026 by Yassine El Idrissi and a small team, in Morocco.
What it does
wamid helps you capture, recall, and act on the notes, ideas, and reminders you would otherwise have forgotten. The app is local-first: your data lives on your device, not on a remote server. There is no account to create to use the app.
Why "wamid"
wamid (وامض) is the Arabic word for a brief flash of light — a flicker, a quick gleam. It is the right shape for an idea that arrives suddenly and disappears just as fast if you do not catch it. It is the only Arabic word in the brand.
wamid is built for people everywhere. It is a product of littlab Studio, the consumer-app branch of littlab, a software company based in Morocco.
Status
- Android: V1.0 in private testing (Google Play closed beta in 2026).
- iOS: considered post-PMF — no commitment.
